In 1963, Alfred Ajamie and Walter Abood, founders of Fiesta Pizza and Chicken, had the vision to establish a first for Akron, Ohio. (Pizza and Chicken at the same location) They also introduced JoJo potatoes, which have become very popular in the tri-county area. No one has ever heard of a JoJo outside of this area. Al and Walt were best of friends and agreed to stay that way. They never wanted to grow to the point of being away from their families. A local chain of family run operations is still here today. Their recipe for success: HIGH QUALITY INGREDIENTS, FRESH CHICKEN, FRESH POTATOES, FRESH RIB-EYE STEAK and VERY GENEROUS PORTIONS, ALL SERVED WITH A SMILE, AT A REASONABLE PRICE. Basic hard work, pride, commitment, and dedication, were all keys to establishing Fiesta Pizza and Chicken. It is what has made us #1 today, and what will help us continue to accomplish our goals in the future.
